Close Quarters

The Founder’s Cup race was especially exciting for two boats…The Abaco Rage and Barquita. At the starting line the boats were so close that Barquita clipped the end of the Rage’s enormous boom and broke their bow light off.

Luckily the mark boat was near by and found it floating in the water.

As the race progressed, the Rage followed Barquita and was right on its stern at times.

After the handicaps were tallied, Barquita ended up winning, but the Rage was towards the back of the pack. Once again though, everyone had a great time!
